Dr Wetjens Dimmlich, Accreditation Program Manager Fisheries

Wetjens Dimmlich is responsible for planning, performing and following up on audits of MSC-accredited certification bodies. He became involved in stock assessment and management of commercially fished species while working for the Australian and Falkland Islands Government and, more recently, the Marine Stewardship Council. Originally a marine biologist focused on the ecology and conservation of marine turtles in tropical Australia he has two decades of experience in marine research, with particular emphasis on pelagic fish species.

Originally from South Africa, Dr Dimmlich holds a PhD in Fisheries Biology from Adelaide University, Australia and a degree in Zoology from James Cook University, Australia.
