Dr Martin Walter, Lead Assessor Forestry

Martin Walter is a lead assessor for FSC-accredited certification bodies. He is Professor for timber processing and timber trade at the University for Applied Sciences Weihenstephan (Germany) and serves as senior consultant for agencies operating in the field of development cooperation and certification. His research focuses on forest certification and forest carbon reduction.

Prof Dr Walter holds a PhD and an MSc in wood technology from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology. A German national, he speaks English, French and German.
