The ASI Appeals Panel is an independent body of accreditation experts responsible for evaluating appeals raised against ASI’s accreditation decisions.
Anu Chaudhary is a seasoned Sustainability & Climate Change expert with over 16 years of experience in Low Carbon Technologies & Emission Trading, Corporate Sustainability, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Climate Change mitigation. She is a successful entrepreneur managing her own company ‘SustainPlus’ – providing Sustainability and Environmental solutions to large and medium organizations and helping them realize their sustainability targets. She is an expert in Financial analysis and Legal Compliance management pertaining to Environment, Health and Safety. Anu also serves as a Technical Advisory Committee member with the Gold Standard Foundation (GSF).
Dr. Sven Kolmetz has more than 10 years of experience in the certification business. He led the carbon management unit of TÜV SÜD Industrie Service GmbH until 2010, overseeing certification of climate mitigation projects, sustainable biofuels and renewable energy certificates. Currently he is a member of the board of verico SCE, heading the verification body, with accreditation for the EU-emission trading scheme and ISO50001. He is member of the UNFCCC accreditation panel and of the German mirror committee of ISO/TC 207/SC 7 – Greenhouse gas management and related activities.
Heiko Liedeker manages Leading Standards GmbH, a consultancy firm providing strategic advice on social, environmental and economic compliance, standard setting, verification, accreditation and governance, as well as conflict communication and moderation. Until mid 2015 he served as the Head of the EU FLEGT & REDD+ Facilities at the offices of the European Forest Institute (EFI) in Spain. Previously, Heiko served as Executive Director of the FSC and Chairman of the WWF’s European Forest Team, and has advised public authorities, universities and ministries of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on implementation of environmental information systems.
Vanessa Linforth has worked in voluntary certification for over 15 years. She began developing tools to facilitate uptake of FSC certification for small forest owners and communities, and worked at an ASI-accredited CAB before becoming Head of Social Policy with FSC International. She has been actively involved in every aspect of certification, from designing and maintaining accreditation systems to ISO 65, carrying out more than 500 FSC (FM, COC, CW), ISO & PEFC audits, training & evaluating Auditors, developing standards and implementation guidelines, to advising on public procurement and traceability policy. Vanessa is currently Managing Director of Timberwolf Consultants Ltd.
